UGC NET Syllabus 2024: The University Grants Commission (UGC) regularly updates the syllabus for both the June and December cycles in conjunction with the UGC NET Notification. Whenever there is a modification in the UGC NET curriculum for any subject(s), the National Testing Agency (NTA) issues a formal notification along with the revised syllabus. These updates are typically made in accordance with the directives of the UGC chairman, Mr. M. Jagadesh Mamidala, and are aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).

The UGC NET syllabus comprises two sections: UGC NET Paper 1 Syllabus 2024 and UGC NET Paper 2 Syllabus 2024. The UGC NET Paper 1 syllabus is common to all aspirants appearing for the UGC NET exam 2024. Conversely, the UGC NET Paper 2 syllabus varies across different subjects, encompassing subject-specific questions corresponding to the candidates' areas of specialization. Paper 1 consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), while Paper 2 comprises 100 MCQs, all of which must be answered within a time limit of 3 hours.

Understanding the UGC NET 2024 syllabus for Papers 1 and 2 is the foundational step in exam preparation.
